YOU ARE MY SAVIOR
(to the music "You are my Sunshine")
You are my Savior, my only Savior,
You came my way Lord, when I was lost.
You've always known me, You did create me.
Please don't let me forget Your love.
The other night Lord, while I was praying,
I knew I only could give You thanks,
when I remembered how much You love me.
Please don't let me forget Your love.
You are my Savior, my only Savior
You died for me Lord, upon the Cross.
Now I surrender, I am forgiven.
Please don't let me forget Your love.
[ Sing third verse twice with last line twice. ]
Please don't let me forget Your love.

SING A NEW SONG TO OLD MUSIC
This is the story of how my first song was written.
I attended a week long Christian Writers Conference in Green Lake, WI. in 1996 and attended a class for 'Finding the Writer in You'.
During that week new words came to me for the music "You are my Sunshine". I wrote a draft copy but it did not sound right at the time.
A few years later, I took files of all my songs and poems to Writers Week. It's a retreat week, on your own schedule with God.
I rediscovered the draft copy of this song, 'YOU ARE MY SAVIOR'. I rewrote it and now it is a big hit with Care Center Friends and other 'seniors' who remember the old melody.
I sing the new song in churches, church camp meetings and ministry in Care Centers.
Everyone sing along!
"For God so LOVED the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life"
Jesus loves you. He wants you for a birthday present.
