The flowers are gone
God still lingers on,
to give us Harvest time.
He paints a picture so sublime;
beautiful leaves of every kind.
They come tumbling down around our head.
Some are brown, some are red.
Beautiful to see, but reminding me
of a faded Summer's Love.
It's harvest time, the fields are ripe.
Fill our bins to overflowing God,
that we might rejoice in knowing
Your providential care.
The bite of Autumn winds
bring us to the end
of a faded Summer's Love.
We thank God for His Glory.
Each season, He paints His beauty.
But Heaven can not compare
what little beauty that's down here.
It will be gloriously bright.
His light will guide us
into Heaven
because He is the Light.
