His Varied Hues My sense of God is like a palette filled with countless hues of pure, reflected light; we choose the shade our inner eye discerns. For some, a color's woven in the soft ascent of youth; for others, it's revealed when they have learned to focus on their own. If we've selected wisely, we will feel a glow -- as though warm feather-wisps of truth are sifting down through layers of our soul. Yet our awareness gives no right to scoff at other faiths. I think that God becomes, for everyone, what we need Him to be. Copyright 2002 Laryalee Fraser Index |
