Joshua’s Men … A one year journey of mentoring men in leadership and spiritual formation In 2000, Bob Schuemann began
Joshua’s Men I with a group of men from six different churches. These men
committed for one year to a process that would develop their leadership
potential and Christian character. The men meet once a month and discuss a
different topic each session. They read a book and cover a variety of
subjects: leadership, spiritual disciplines, people skills, communication,
family leadership, evangelism, prayer and also develop a life mission
statement. They also are involved in two retreats to deepen their relationships
with each other and have a family picnic for all men who have been involved
in Joshua’s Men. Upon “graduation”,
J-Men are encouraged to get involved in a ministry and especially
become involved in a leadership role in their church. Joshua’s Men I: Steve

another way to show your wife how much she means to you. Be RoMANtic she’ll
love you for it. Be creative…roses are special, but sometimes they are also
VERY expensive. Try this: for Idea 2: Buy a rose bush….plant it where she can
see if often as a reminder of your Growing love for her. Also, you
will have roses year round! Idea 3: Take 5 cards and write on each one something
that you appreciate about her. Place them in five spots where she will find
them. Idea 4: Register for the Celebrate
Your Marriage Seminar (mentioned above) & ask her if she will go with
you so you can learn how to be a more loving husband! Quotes to Remember: Give her two roses, each with a note. The first note says “For the woman I love” & the second, “For my best friend.” Moonlight and roses are bound to fade for every lover and every maid but the bond that holds in any weather is learning to laugh together. Keep in mind….Happy Wife….Happy Life! Remember
Valentine’s
Day was just one opportunity to show your love…create other days throughout
the year. You don’t need Hallmark to be romantic!! Prepare/Enrich…is a well respected inventory that has been researched and developed over more than a decade and has been completed by 1,000,000 couples. This assessment tool assists couples, through the guidance of a coach, to assess the relationship and growth areas of their marriage. Romantic Weekend--like you used to have 2. A weekly "date night"...she loves it! 3. Attend a marriage seminar or class 4. Read a marriage book together 5. Listen to her heart Remember all those "loving" things you did when you courted
her? Haven't stopped have you? |
